About

Modest Byte is a web development company specializing in content management systems, particularly the Concrete5 CMS. Why you ask? Because it is simply the best. Concrete5 helps us provide clients with an easy way to edit website content, manage data, and get feed back. It is the most user friendly open source CMS that we have found and we love it. We are experienced with other CMS like Joomla, Wordpress, and Drupal but did I mention we love Concrete5.

But what is Modest Byte really. Modest Byte is founded on Christian principles. We aren't saying we are more than human just that we want to try to do business as close to Christ-like as we can. Ultimately we would love to be able to support a group of Christians from all over the world who are passionate about the web but more importantly Jesus. The internet is mobile, and so is the creative process. Creativity begins in one place...that is where you are. Anyhow, to get to the heart of the matter, we believe that good comes from tent making ministries. This is not to say that it's the right way, it's just a way. And we want to be a part of it and provide the opportunity to do it. Modest Byte is more than a business it is a ministry. All be it not your stereotypical ministry, our goal is to help provide a means to help further the gospel of Christ.

Dwayne Parton

dwayneparton.jpgI am the founder of Modest Byte. I am just a normal down to earth guy, but I love what the internet has to offer. I am passionate about web developing. I love designing too but I tend put too much effort into my designs and often times they come slowly. I love solving problems, but I love solving them in the most efficient, replicable, and simple ways. Some times this slows me down because I hate when there is a lot of room for end-user error. Apart from the givens, HTML & CSS, PHP is my favorite language. It's flexible and easy to implement. I love the flexibility that web developing offers and one day I would love to be a bi-vocational missionary and work overseas while I live and make relationships with people.
